Beijing Cultural Tour for Grades 7 – 11 Students

The Grades 7 – 11 students will have a chance to experience and appreciate the abundant historical and rich cultural heritage of China as they explore the wonders of Beijing. Some of the places they will be visiting are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the Temple of Heaven. Other sites include the Tian’anmen Square, the Olympic Bird’s Nest and Water Cube and many more.

Participants : 40 students

Grades 10 – 11 Tzu-Chi University Summer Camp

Tzu Chi University is located in the city of Hualien known for its mountain trails, marble gorges and Pacific Ocean panoramas. For two weeks, the students will be able to take short courses in the university as well as enjoy and appreciate its beautiful surroundings. Lectures on medical practices (e.g. reflexology) and the Chinese Language, demonstration lessons in flower arrangements and tea ceremony are some of the activities they will experience. They will also discover the beauty of Taiwan and its rich culture as they visit key historical places, night markets, amusement parks, etc.

Participants : 25 students

Grades 9 & 10 Introduction to Fu Jen Catholic University

The students will have a glimpse of one of the oldest Catholic and Jesuit affiliated university in Taiwan as they take in a short Chinese Language course in the university. They will also have a chance to discover Taiwan as they visit some temples, museums and experience one of their well-known phenomenon – the night markets.
