ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2023 – 2024

Welcome and thank you for your interest in considering our school, Immaculate Conception Academy for your daughter. We take pride in ensuring that our transfer students will have a seamless transition from their former school to us with the host of support services we have to offer.

The primary goal of the Admission Committee is to offer enrollment to students who will be a good fit and be able to thrive at Immaculate Conception Academy. For this purpose, all applicants are required to undergo the admission screening process. While the result of the screening process is the primary consideration, we look at the total picture of an applicant. Previous and current (to date) academic records, a strong recommendation from a former teacher/counselor, and more importantly, the desire of the parents to support the mission-vision of our school are also factored in the process as we evaluate each applicant.

The application will be done online but all applicants will have to take the admission test in the school’s Testing Center. Rest assured that all safety protocols are in place to safeguard the health and well-being of everyone.

1. The Grade School is open to qualified applicants for Grade 1 to Grade 6 only when there are available slots.

2. The High School is open to qualified applicants for Grade 7 to Grade 11 only when there are available slots.

3. All applicants should have passing grades in all subjects in their current and previous grade level(s).

4. Applicants for Grade School and High School should have taken subjects in accordance with the curricular offerings of ICA.

5. One of the unique features of the ICA curriculum is the inclusion of the Chinese Language Program in all grade levels. Special arrangements will be made for applicants with no background in formal Chinese instruction.

6. Each applicant will be evaluated by the Committee on Admission based on the following:

a. Previous and current (to date) academic records

b. Recommendation of the class adviser or guidance counselor from the current school

B.     Application Procedure

1. Upload the documents listed below through this link: ICA Admission_Initial Requirements_SY2023-2024

a. Clear scanned original copy of parent’s letter of intent addressed to the Committee on Admission (indicate the name of school, school year/s and grade levels attended by the applicant)

b. Clear scanned original copy of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate with registry number

c. Clear scanned original copy of Baptismal Certificate (if baptized Catholic)

d. Clear scanned original copy of the Quarter/Semester grades of the current and previous school year’s report cards with the Learner Reference Number (LRN) issued by the Department of Education

e. One (1) clear scanned original copy of government issued ID of BOTH parents with signature

f. Clear scanned original copy of Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR/Identification Card), student’s passport and visa if the applicant is a foreign student

2. The Registrar’s Office will send a confirmation notice to the email of the parent after receiving and checking all the documents listed in no. 1. The notice will also include the payment procedure for the Php 1,000.00 non-refundable processing

3. Once the payment of the processing fee has been verified, you will be directed through an email to download the admission forms listed below and to upload the duly accomplished forms using this link:

d. Guidance Information Sheet

e. Recommendation Form (to be filled out by the adviser or guidance counselor of applicant’s current school who will then directly send the duly accomplished form to adm@icagh.edu.ph with the heading: RECOMMENDATION FORM – (Name of Applicant)

f. Student Health Record Form (to be filled out by the applicant’s pediatrician)

g. Hearing and Vision Screening Test Results

4. Upon confirmation of payment and processing of uploaded documents, the Registrar’s Office will send an email to inform you of the schedule of your daughter’s screening.
