Task Force ICAn Assisted Communities Affected by Typhoon Maring

Last October 11, 2021, severe tropical storm “Maring” brought in heavy and continuous rains on the Northern provinces in Luzon which caused floods and landslides thereby damaging homes and properties, crops, livestock and even loss of human lives. 

Through the social action centers of the different Catholic communities, Task Force ICAn extended cash assistance to the following communities in their rehabilitation projects. 

  • Apostolic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe (Ifugao and Mountain Province)

Project Description: Livelihood program (dishwashing and laundry soap making)

  • Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia (Ilocos Sur)

Project Description: Livelihood Enhancement thru Goat Raising

  • Archdiocese of Tuguegarao (Cagayan)

Project Description: Rehabilitation thru Bamboo planting along the riverbanks to prevent soil erosion
