27 Feb “MINDS ON, HANDS ON: A STEMIFIED EXPERIENCE!”

In response to the demands of the fast-growing STEM curriculum, the Science, Math and Computer areas came together last
February 5-8, 2019 to give the students a feel of how the 3 subjects operate as one in real life.

The objectives of the STEM Week Celebration was achieved through the STEM Olympics and ZETEO Go activities.
The Grades 2-6 pupils underwent various tasks that engaged and allowed them to apply
Math, Science and Computer concepts and skills for project-based outcomes.

The Gr. 6 pupils culminated their Science investigation Project with their final presentations
while selected Grade 5 pupils wowed their audience with their Science Magic presentations.

A mobile planetarium from PAGASA gave the Grades 2 and 3 pupils a glimpse of the outer space
while an Earthquake Simulator and lecture from PHIVOLCS helped them be more prepared for disasters and calamities.

On exhibit were several Math and Science manipulatives from MC Mardison and Koobits and robotics equipment from Alexan,
First Robotics and First Eduspec. The booth exhibitors gave the pupils a chance to use varied technology in learning.

Finally, projects made during Math, Science and Computer classes were exhibited to provide the students a platform to showcase
the competencies and skills they acquired during the school year.
The exhibit gave the pupils’ self-esteem a boost and instilled in them a deeper appreciation of the three subjects.
