13 Feb Parangal 2018 : Isang Pasasalamat

Last Saturday, February 3, the school held its annual Parangal with the theme, “Pagpupugay at Pasasalamat” to recognize 43 school personnel for their outstanding service and commitment to ICA in the past 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 35, and 40 years. The half-day event was held in the newly constructed SHS Auditorium and was attended by 500 teachers, school staff, and guests from the family and friends of the awardees. 

The Parangal opened with a dance sequence from talented teachers and staff featuring popular songs from the years the awardees joined ICA. The emcees facilitated the smooth flow of the program, adding their personal humor to lighten up the mood. The display of talent continued later on with an impressive intermission song number from the Music teachers, singing, “There’s No Place I’d Rather Be”.

As with last year’s Parangal, the community also honored this year’s retirees: Mr. Sancho Ayen (Carpenter, 36 years of service ), Mr. Nestor Baldovino (Driver, 40 years of service), Mr. Ireneo de Jesus (Campus Administration Office, 33 years of service), and Mrs. Nenita Tabbada (Grade School Department, 37 years of service).

The celebration capped off with a delicious lunch sponsored by the ICA Administration.
