At five thirty in the afternoon of June 30, 2008, Fr. Johnny Go, S.J. director of Xavier School , Fr. Ismael Zuloaga, S.J., Arch. Cordell Guanco, representatives of DMCI, the contractor; heads of the different subcontractors, alumnae – Mrs. Jan Tan Co Chua ('76), Mrs. Wendy Keng ('76) and her husband Mr. Jeffrey Keng, ICA lay administrators and MIC Sisters – Sr. Delia Regidor, Provincial Superior, Sr. Vilma Masinda, Sr. Virginia Biascan, Sr. Librada Bantilan, Sr. Socorro Gumnad and Sr. Teresita Canivel, gathered at the first floor of the building to start the blessing ceremony. Fr. Johnny Go, S.J. went from floor to floor to bless the different facilities of the building: the future archives, the library for Chinese and Filipino materials, the multimedia center, the viewing rooms and office of the Instructional Media Services. After the blessing of the entire building from the KP Learning Center to the 4 th floor, the group proceeded to the Multipurpose Hall 2 for an early dinner. Mr. Jorge Consunji arrived just on time to join the group. Sr. Teresita went from table to table to thank everyone for the work done and particularly expressed appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Jorge Consunji and his team of workers who completed the building in two months time to the surprise of everyone seeing the progress of the work. Once the facilities are completed, ICA will have an open house to welcome parents and alumnae.
