An ICAn Gives Back… with Love and Gratitude

Last July 9 – 13, ICA welcomed back to its fold Dr. Daisy Lu, ICA alumna, batch 1962. Dr. Lu is currently connected with various universities and colleges in the State of Washington, USA, as a graduate professor and curriculum consultant. During her week long visit to the school, her itinerary began with the observation of classes in both Grade School and High School levels. Working with the theme, “The Reflective Teacher: A Spiritual Journey,” she conducted development and training sessions to the top administrators and middle level supervisors, teachers from the English, Filipino, Chinese and Social Science areas. She ended the week interacting with the guidance counselors and the entire Grade School faculty.

Through her sessions focused on “curriculum development,” she also underscored the role of the teachers in transforming students into life long learners. Towards this end, she challenged them to step up on their commitment to the ministry that they have chosen. And this is one challenge that the teachers are more than willing to take to heart.
