Over the years, the Social Action Student Staff (SASS) Charity Fair has been known to be one of the various social action programs we have here in I.C.A. It is the time when ICAns are invited to spare one Saturday morning and share it with 80 of our less fortunate brothers and sisters from Tuberias, San Juan. This school year, it was entitled "Bituin" and was held last December 3, 2011. The SASS wanted the attendees to realize that the brightest Star of all in this season of love, joy and thanksgiving is none other than Jesus Christ himself.

The HS Faculty led by its Social Action Committee, designed a training module for the parents of the recipients of the Feeding Program initiated by the Social Action Students Staff (SASS). The module was developed based on the result of the Needs Analysis, which was conducted by the Community Service & Development Center (CSDC) staff last September 11, 2010.
The result of the analysis shows that as parents, they truly aspire to establish a self-reliant family characterized by a dignified living. They all hope to have a steady business/livelihood of their own that is rooted in God, as a source of income thereby making the families’ needs meet while prioritizing the education of their children. Alongside economic stability, they dream to have a peaceful, united and happy family.

Last November 20, 2010, the ICA Parent Auxiliary through the parents of Grade 3 and Grade 7 students spearheaded a medical mission dubbed as “Operation Tulong, Linis Sugat, Tanggal Pigsa”, which was held in the covered court of Barangay Batis, San Juan City. Simultaneous with the medical mission was the First Aid Seminar and Sagip Buhay Tips, which impart necessary information and skills that are helpful especially during the times of emergency. Aside from the medical mission, free service on bone density testing, nebulization, and blood sugar test were provided. This undertaking was the Parent Auxiliary’s expression of their commitment to community service for people who are in need of medical assistance.

Last November 13, 2010, the Social Action Student Staff (SASS) held its first ever games fest entitled “OlympICA”. Students from six (6) different public schools around San Juan were invited to join the event which took place in ICA’s High School Covered Court. The participants were divided into 12 teams and each team was joined by two ICAn volunteers and a member of the SASS who served as a facilitator.
After the opening remarks, the groups started the main event of the games fest which was the AMAZING RACE. The race consisted of 16 different obstacles, each of them focusing on the theme: LOVE for God, country, others, and self. The children enjoyed the games and they especially had a good time in the photo booth which encouraged them to be more confident and comfortable in their own skin.
After two hours of running around the campus, the participants were treated to a sumptuous lunch sponsored by ICA parent Mrs. Luci Wang. After lunch, participants presented their team cheers with pride and enthusiasm. The day ended with the awarding ceremony where the top 3 schools were given prizes; 3rd place went to Salapan Elementary School, 2nd place was awarded to Pedro Cruz Elementary School and 1st place was given to Nicanor Ibuna Elementary School. The participants each went home with a bagful of goodies. They also went home with lasting memories and new friendships.
It was truly a successful event and the SASS is looking forward to another year of OlympICA!
